I am currently pursuing my final year of an Engineering/Science degree
majoring in EE engineering and physiology. My project aims to experimentally
validate the theoretical model of beam propagation through a turbid media by
measuring the profile of the beam, particularly in skin and muscle tissue.
Also, limits on the achievable lateral resolution for OCT imaging of skin
tissue can be established which would assist in the interpretation of OCT
images. I enjoy shopping, music (piano) and spending quality time with family
and friends.

Milena couldn't be bothered writing an appropriate description of herself.
She was a nice girl though.

Mark Lee
Mark spent the last four years studying Mechatronics Engineering, Corporate
Finance, and Investment Finance. He is currently completing his final year and
his project at OBEL is centred on improving the function and design of the
refractive index biopsy needle. In the little spare time that he now has, he
enjoys sleeping, watching movies, listening to certain kinds of music, reading,
hanging out with friends and playing soccer.

I am a final year Engineerig/Commerce student. My project is titled
"Quantitative Phase Contrast Imaging Using Digital Holography". Basically, my
project involves taking holograms by transmission of the sample and analyse the
phase information of the sample. The samples I am working on are transparent
samples like optical glue, optical lens and zebra fish. In my spare
time, I enjoy playing and watching soccer, going to movies, fishing and
swimming. I also have a hobby to keep tropical fish at home and hopefully I do
not need to use them for my experiment. Doing final year project with OBEL is
challenging and fulfilling.

I'm a final year engineering/science student majoring in electrical
engineering and physiology. The focus of my project at OBEL is to examine the
effects of optical clearing agents on muscle tissue at depth, using
Two-Photon-Microscopy. In my spare time I enjoy the odd computer game
or two, reading, watching DVD's and my most favourite hobby - sleeping. I also
enjoy hanging out with friends at the movies, clubs, restaurants and best of
all - the casino.

I am in my final year of engineering and commerce, majoring in electrical
and electronic engineering and finance. My project aims to finally build a
functioning pulse oximetry system using spectrophotometric techniques and
investigate some applications for the system. My biggest interest outside of
uni is music - before I realised I wouldn't have time to practise, I was
planning to sit the associate diploma exam for piano this year.
