Barry Cense wins ARC Discovery Project grant

A/Prof Barry Cense won a Discovery Project research grant (Australian Research Foundation) entitled “In-vivo functional imaging of cone photoreceptors and ganglion cell axons” worth $192,500. In this project, we visualize the optical response or intrinsic optical signal in photoreceptors after they have been stimulated with visible light. The money will be used to improve existing equipment, to build new equipment, to publish manuscripts and to travel to conferences. The project is a collaboration between UWA, Yonsei University (Prof. Chulmin Joo) and the University of California, Davis (Prof. Robert Zawadzki).
